It’s Inktober Chum!

I have trouble believing how fast October got here. A few heartbeats ago was the Summer Solstice. This is my favorite season though, so no complaints.

This will be the 5th Inktober I participate in. The first one happened to be about a month or two after I started drawing, that one was all digital, I still didnt quite get the concept. It is interesting to see how far I have come, that’s mostly what I use social media for is to see the past. I cringe a bit when I see what I was posting but I also take a bit of pride in knowing that I have improved. Not saying I am where I want to be yet but I can see the reps paying off.

The last few Inktobers I have done a theme, last year was a 31 day Lu & Dag comic as I was ramping up to opening this website. The year before that was a whole forest of animal people. This year I thought about it and decided that I am going more loose and just going with what strikes my fancy that day, done in ink on paper. One thing I have noticed every year is the ramp of improvement during Inktober, it makes sense, its practice. A lot of practice and drawing things I might not always being drawing already.

I know there are a million and one art challenges out there for this month and every other but I really have to thank Jake Parker for making this one, the community is great behind it and it just vibes.

Can’t wait to see what I end up with when Samhain gets here.

Day 1 is Mustache, so enjoy one of the best Tick episodes ever. (They were all great let’s be honest)
